It gets 3 stars in reflection of a few key points which lose it a 4 star rating. On the good side - the accommodation was clean, tidy and nicely done with comfortable furniture and excellent beds. Some aspects ie the bathroom was somewhat outdated but in very good condition. I find older sinks very low, at 6 foot tall a bathroom sink well below waist level is uncomfortable to use and is often encountered in older properties. Also on a miniature scale is the crockery! Whilst not unique to this place I can not understand why mugs, cups, bowls and plates are about 3/4 size of normal (bowls hold about half a normal cereal bowl) . Happily I had predicted this and took mugs with me. The villas are within a large, lawned and tree lined walled enclosure with no vehicle access which is nice and trolleys are provided for luggage. The central pathway is not lit and relies on a small amount of ambient light from the door lights on each villa but this is insufficient to light the path. A big downside is the lack of WiFi - not simply a bad signal, none, zilch, which considering I can go to a campsite and have WiFi is telling of the mindset of the management. So make sure you have got a good data package on your phones etc. Thankfully we had good phone signals. Great location to explore this part of Kent, Dover Castle is a must see, lovely local pubs with great food. The Jackdaw nearby is featured in the Battle of Britain film, lovely food and The Black Robin a bit further away is a very cosy, warm pub also with good food. Villa Reception was brusquely efficient.

Was surprised to have to deal with used bedding at end, & it was not satisfactorily explained. Insufficient power sockets, poor WiFi & dvd machine buzzed, cold with high bill on check out. Nearby facilities disappointing. Staff distant. Sorry.
