Rebecca Almond and her team at Reeds Rains Estate Agents in Sale helped us sell our house. They arranged a good photographer who helped produce an excellent prospectus which led to 3 initial viewing days. They kept us well informed every step of the way with feedback from prospective buyers and offers made and guided us with sound practical advice. They vetted prospective buyers which led to the successful sale of our house. They liaised with solicitors to help smooth the conveyancing process with a timely completion date. If you have the option, I highly recommend that you avoid dealing with the Reeds Rains Sale branch at all costs. Your time, energy, and money will NOT be respected. I had the unfortunate experience of Reeds Rains Sale facilitating a vendor offer acceptance renege during a ‘Best and Final’ process on two different occasions within a week. In addition, due process was not followed and Reeds Rains Sale failed to provide written notice of an accepted offer on both counts, and only provided an offer decline written notice after facilitating a bidding war between clients. Further to this, the Reeds Rains customer relations team failed to offer an apology and consistently responded with stock responses that referred back to legal obligations, always failing to provide an apology and an empathetic approach considering they did not follow process, and represented vendors who lied to us and conducted themselves in an unethical way. Reeds Rains Sale conducted themselves in an unethical way, failed to provide written accepted offer notices, facilitated a bidding war amongst clients, allowed their vendor to lie about accepting a best and final offer (TWICE!), and failed to respect our time, energy, and money.

Unfortunately, very disappointed with our experience with this branch. Our offer was accepted after best and final and then turned down by the vendor the next day because another offer was received AFTER best and final deadline (so what's the point!?). Then we had a short period to increase, and our new offer was accepted. Again, after two days, our increased offer was rejected, and we therefore had to back out. It felt like the estate agents weren't in our corner, and it caused us a great deal of stress and upset. We submitted a formal complaint that has ultimately said the branch were 'legally right' and offered no apology (just a lot of "i empathise...but"). An extremely stressful time that could've been avoided had the branch given us as much respect as they did, leeway for the vendor to constantly change her mind. Our Financial Advisor (connected to the branch) was also livid with our treatment which shows although what happen was technically "legal" it was not ethical. My advice: avoid at all costs, but if that's not possible, make sure you ask / demand that 'best and final' means best and final. I wish you luck in your search and hope it goes better than it did for us.

The sale office provides a full service for a rental property I own in the area. In my experience they are very on the ball in all aspects ranging from finding and vetting tenants through to ensuring that I am quickly informed of any problems with the property and given every assistance to help me resolve them in a timely fashion. I believe that the tenants I have had over time have also found them to be helpful and professional. I would particularly recommend Sheila but have found all the other personnel I have dealt with there also very professional and helpful.
