Shame I can't provide zero stars. AVOID if you are selling. I sold my previous property in Manchester through Reeds Rains. It was slow, drudging process and the sales progressor role is unfit for purpose. There was never any details provided in enquries remaining. The team had not even bothered to let us know that our buyers associated sale had been put back on the market (we were told she was deciding on what to do), even though they were selling her property for her as well. Zero transperancy (at least to us, never did we get the same treatment for politeness as our buyer). The whole process took 7 long months holding up the entire chain. Questions were raised that were already answered 6 months prior and the sales progressor kept telling us that the buyer contunually needed reassurance (even though all the queries had been answered and no follow ups were requested at the time of response). It came to light that the buyer had a change of solictior that we were not informed of, and the previous solicitor had lost or misplaced all the responses to the queries and hence we were answering everything again 6 months later. We provided an ultimatum to Reeds and the buyer that we would pull the offer the following day and that is the ONLY thing that progressed the sale, NOT the sales office at Reeds. the buyer hastily accepted the ultimatum. The process took so long that my property value had increased by a considerable amount since accepting the offer. disgraceful. Happy to have left Manchester for good. Won't be coming back and will not recommend the Manchester Reeds Rains office to anyone- don't fall for the sales progressor trap. It's useless and you're better off sticking with an agent who remains the same person througout the process and not being passed around to an internal chain.
