Well what can I say. What a fantastic Helmsman course ! Roy was very knowledgeable about the course and certainly knew his stuff. It was taken at a pace to suit everyone ! there were three on the course. Lunch was provided and breaks given ! A well worth course covering canal locks rope work and understanding your boat ! Excellent sense of humour which made the course fly. Thank you Roy we will certainly be recommending you to others in the future x Michelle & Al x

The training instructor, Roy Fletcher was kind, calm, friendly & extremely patient with me during the 2-day helms person training course. I would highly recommend him - not only was it good fun and informative, he always made me feel at ease when I didn't know what the hell I was doing. His wooden boat model really helped me in understanding the theory behind moving the boat and then doing it in practice allowed the learning to fuse together. He was very encouraging when things went a "little off course" and he knew when I was getting tired and not able to think straight, and let someone else take the helm. His jokes & humour was much needed to get us through the very cold day in February. Thank you again for a lovely day on the water. Debbie (from The RV Furor Scribendi)
