I began training with Surrey Wing Chun a month ago and I couldn't be happier with the school and instructors. I have done some martial arts before but not for many years and Wing Chun Kung Fu is a very different form than I have experienced before. Shifu Matt and Shifu Dean are passionate not just about their art but also that it is passed on correctly. New students are made to feel very welcome by both the instructors and the established students. The instruction is well organised with clear goals in mind for progression and each technique is explained in its execution and how it relates to the wider art of Kung Fu. The training and fitness is testing but not inaccessible and alternate exercises are provided for different fitness levels. Above all the practise of Kung Fu and martial arts in general is treated sensitively with a view to perfecting and preserving skills.
