I haven’t been in here for years but for some reason it has asked for a comment. It used to be a busy working nunnery, which owned properties in Bitterne which were mainly homes for children. They still own one or two the others have been sold or being used for other things. Their gardens were peaceful to walk through which you could enter from St Elizabeth’s Ave, through to April Close. They used to have a bonfire night near their large orchard which was sold off & now is the estate called Redcote Close.
