If you are expecting food, I would not bother travelling to any of their pubs as it seems they can arbitrarily decide when they serve food or not. Our most recent escapade was at The Cock Inn, Headley. Two families arrived together, ordered some wine and then sat took a seat outside in the sunshine. We spent 20 minutes trying to get our babies to sleep in the pram so we could enjoy our lunch. Fast forward to nice sleeping babies, enter the bar and try and order four burgers to be told that they are no longer serving food outside as the kitchen is too busy. Too busy to cook four burgers? Other people outside had eaten, no signage suggesting they were not serving food outside. Now here we are sat in our seats like lemons; we can't leave without disturbing our children who we had just got to sleep. I asked if we could order a takeaway to eat in the garden with our beverages. The answer was no. Too busy to cook four burgers? Really? Red Mist Leisure; have you put Kerry Katona, the dumb one from East 17 and a gerbil in charge of this pub? Was being braindead part of the job selection criteria? Why don't you want your customers to return? Why don't you leave copies of the Daily Mail around to depress people further when they are left hungry.
