About Xmas 2022 I cancelled an order after I noticed l had been charged twice but was only refunded for a single item . After contacting Red cow they denied taking twice the amount from my bank. I even sent them a photo of the transaction but they still wouldn’t refund my money . I had to get advice from a solicitor who told me to contact my bank yet again . The bank decided to take action and advised me to give red cow one more week to pay up the the bank would deal with them directly . I let red cow what the bank had said and eventually they sent me an email saying as a gesture of good will they would refund my money , the cheek of it , gesture of good will my ar ..

Brilliant service from Steve. I called to discuss where I should switch from Anglo concertina to melodeon. Steve spent 10 minutes talking me out of spending more money! I ended up actually buying another Anglo - a Rochelle - which is way better (and - bizarrely - cheaper!) than the rubbish I paid £750 for from Macneela. Fabulous service - thrilled to bits.

I went to see Steve at Red Cow, having chatted on the phone to discuss what I was looking for. I received a warm, friendly greeting in his lovely home, along with a welcome cup of tea. My instrument was ready and waiting and I had as much time as I wanted to play it and see if it was what I wanted. There was no pressure to buy at all. Steve is very knowledgeable about his music and the instruments he sells. I bought an 8 string ukulele and am very pleased with it. It is very good quality and has a lovely sound. He is able to fit a strap and add a pick up for an amplifier. Steve offers a personalised service and it was a pleasure to meet him and buy from him. I would highly recommend Red Cow to anyone looking to buy any of the instruments he sells.
