    Reserved a storage unit - paid a deposit. Was phoning for two weeks to finally be told they don’t have my unit - nor any other units available for me, despite my reservation/deposit. No apologises or alternatives offered - was told “oh we can give you the £10 back though”. Do not book if you actually need a unit.

    I do not recommend this company; they clearly prey on students around the move-in date. My story: Me and my friend (who happens to be a girl) were looking to acquire a 50 square foot storage unit for two weeks, in which our stuff could be stored for the student house move period. An online quote of £15 per week for 8 weeks, and then £30 afterwards is offered by the company. First issue: their minimum rental period is 4 weeks - this is the longest in Leeds with competitors such as Big Yellow offering a 7 day minimum. Regardless, being the naive student I am, I thought £60 split between two would still be a great deal. So, I saved the quote and then received a call about it later on. On the call I am now instead offered £22.50 a week for TWO weeks, followed by £45 a week for the remaining two. They both raised the price AND cut the deal short in a thinly veiled attempt to rinse me of my money. This ended up coming to £135 for four weeks, two of which I didn't even need in the first place. I'm ashamed to say that the smarmy salesman's phone tactics convinced me to put down a £10 (refundable) deposit on the unit, which I will of course be asking for in due course. Long story short, luckily my friend who is a girl found a far better deal with Safestore for only £50. If we hadn't gone to Safestore, I also had a reservation ready to secure with Big Yellow for a similar price. Please do NOT use this company for your storage needs. Awful.

    First thing - the store is very convenient for me. Staff very helpful in helping me decide what space of storage I needed and actually showed me where my stuff would be moved to. Costs explained in detail so I knew what I outgoings were going to be which helps with my budget. My storage space easily accessed with entry more or less when I pleased.
