    A really beautiful modern building that is easy to navigate. There are plenty of signs and ticket machines as well as a decent array of shops. It's very spacious with plenty of information about connections to your destination

    Absolutely no signs or directions for bus replacements at all. Arrived in Reading station in the evening and had to take a bus replacement as the original train wasn't running which was know about and public information since that morning. However there was absolutely no signage about to tell me where the bus replacements left from and no staff around to help. Ended up missing said bus due to stations negligence and was stranded at the station. As this bus was a planned alternative and not a last minute change there should have been directions on where to go right up until the last departure but there was nothing.

    Can managment please address the staff member who does not wear a mask... If he is exempt then it would make sense that he be furloughed... Exempt means exempt from wearing a mask NOT exempt from contracting or passing on the virus... Your station connects alot of the country which also means it has the potential to spread to the same areas... Also i over heard the same employee telling manager that masks are not sufficient enough to protect againt the virus as the particals are too small for the weave of the material. Very conspiratorial minded which would suggest he doesnt take the virus seriously so shouldn't be allowed to work in a public facing role

    Not the first time that I have been shouted at (told off) like a piece of dirt by railway staff. I've committed such crimes as rolling up to the ENTRANCE of Reading station, and putting my ticket into the machine while I still have a leg over the bike (because why take time to dismount when you are 1. Not even in the station yet, 2. Have a queue of people building up behind you and 3. You're about to pass through a narrow ticket gate, standing beside a LARGE mountain bike is just impractical and awkward! Been shouted at by a rude bald masked staff member at Reading station entrance, hopefully he annoys the wrong cyclist one day and finds out what we all think of him! Just to note, in my 20 odd years of cycling I've never injured anyone except myself. I think I am capable of scooting through a gate, hardly riding down the escalators now is it?! I've also committed such crimes as waiting for my morning train to work and daring to take my bike onto a section of the train which is not labelled for bicycles. Well, 1. There ain't many of us so what's the big deal, 2. There isn't even always a cycling carriage, 3. There often isn't space for bikes if there is more than 1 bicycle boarding and 4. How am I supposed to know when waiting for a train where the cycling carriage is going to stop. It could end up stopping down the other end of the platform from where I waited and as shown above its a crime of the highest magnitude to cycle down to the carriage so I have before chosen to stand with my bike, out of the way, in a regular carriage and been spoken to like dirt. No wonder no-one wants to take the train unless they absolutely have to. Way to kill off your business even quicker

    Relatively good, large and clean train station. Lots of places to eat and sit. Information boards are every corner. Staffs use to be everywhere to help you out. It is maintained by Great Western Railways. Restrooms are relatively small almost two urinals and a toilet. And they are attended by both male and female cleaners. It has nice number of waiting rooms and some have water refilling stations.
