My wife and I rode on the Elizabeth Line to Reading. We had a short walk around the town centre then called in to the Reading Museum on our way back to the station. Entrance is free. A very nice lady met us at the entrance and explained the layout of the museum. There is a lot to see, but we did not have enough time to see everything. I really wanted to see the replica of the Bayeux Tapestry, so we spent most of our time following the story of the Norman invasion. The way that the tapestry is exhibited is very good. We had a quick look at some of the other exhibits then we had a tasty soup and a bun lunch at the café that is attached to the museum. There was a good selection of meals at the café.
