Tasty food, drinks and lovey decor but what a shame about the service. We were a walk-in but were literally kicked off our table with limited warning and hadn’t even finished our food, and there had been no warning when arriving that we would have a limited time slot - had this been made apparent we would have thought twice as you don’t want to be rushed when spending upwards of £50 per head. The member of staff (who I actually think might have been a manager) that oh so rudely cleared the table had also just been picking his nose, which was a bit gross.

Fantastic menu - best Sri Lankan / Sth Asian food in London. Fresh and distinctive flavours, which reminded me of home (SL). The Jaffna lamb chops are to die for - everything we ordered (chicken pongal rice, red pineapple curry, parsley sambol) was delicious. Cocktails were great too - my favourite was the Pandarita. I’ve already booked to go back for their Resy event - the Jaffna Crab Curry feast. Leaves the competition (Hoppers, Kolamba, Dishoom etc) in the dust. Very reasonably priced too. Get a seat at the bar and watch the chefs at work. Vegetarian options: Great range of vegetarian dishes that are actual mains - not just sides. Very flavourful and fresh too.

Coming from a background of being half-Tamil, I was a little disappointed after hearing so many good things. No issues with decor, and the service is good. But the food was, on the whole, unremarkable? I would describe it as pleasant enough, but nothing to write home about. I couldn’t pick out anything from the diversity of dishes on the menu (we tried all but perhaps 3 or 4) to name as the highlight. Everything was broadly a 7.5. The one thing I will say is absolutely don’t order the roti - not because it’s bad, but because a single small roti for £4 is an insane rip-off. If I could give a specific rating, I’d say Rambutan merits a 4.1 or 4.2. I’m not disappointed I visited, but I doubt I’ll go again.

There is so much hype over this place and it was nice but not anything special. We tried almost everything - it was fine but no dish stood out. I was expecting a bit more flavour in the food. Service was ok - it was v. busy so the staff weren't tentative and slow. We had to ask for literally everything. I would recommend Paradise in Soho over this.

A rare case of a meal where every single things was impeccable, all dishes I would happily eat again and again. Dosas, red pineapple curry, sticky chicken rice... All so good. Appears to be very busy yet the service was well-managed, with both reservations and walk-ins catered for. Can't recommend highly enough.
