The idea is a good one..... but they say ideas are cheap execution is everything for good reason. IMHO Raisin is not ready for launch to the public. I am seeing fundamental issues handling money in my account that is unacceptable from a professional financial organisation. It's scary dealing with Raisin. I have transferred significant amounts to my Raisin account which was painful and took several failed attempts (I recommend testing test by sending £1 and make sure the account name is correct) . The funding amount was taken automatically and seems to disappear for the duration of the account setup. It was very concerning not to have visibility of this pending transaction (done much better by Monzo or Starling or Revolut so no excuses Raisin). Once opened I then transferred some more money into raisin (took 2 days, nothing visible) and then transferred to my savings account (another 2 days with no visibility anywhere in the app or online). I can see transactions online that show money being taken from my account but nothing to suggest it was a transfer from my "holding" account to my savings account. It's just labelled HSBC with an arbitrary ref number that means nothing to me. I cant recommend using Raisin for the above reasons. I'm going to let the dust settle and then decide what to do. My expectation is that Raisin must up their game to stay in business and make some basic improvements to the customer experience when banking with them. I'll give it 3-6 months.

In the past i have been really happy with my experience. Depositing money and returns on maturity have been good BUT............my mother passed away some months ago and despite constantly asking, it is taking an eternity to get her funds returned. Customer services reply very politely but apparently can't pass you to the correct department. So despite being told i was going to be fast tracked and kept up-to-date with the progress I have heard nothing. NOT IMPRESSED!

Have tried to contact Raisin Customer Services by telephone and e-mail several times a day for a week, without response. If you need or think you might need assistance, there are better companies than Raisin to deal with.

Very poor customer service. No replies to secure messages for weeks at a time. Hours on hold to speak to anyone. DAYS to transfer money between accounts... Go elsewhere
