Service was great. Smiling happy staff! The level of service is wonderful. The food was really good with an excellent choice for lunch. Wine was good and served at table which was a nice touch. Dessert trolley again to table. Concentration on good smiling staff who are helpful so unusual and for the price wonderful.

Food was okay but the service needs to improve. We waited way too long for orders, refills etc. Also staff had difficulties to split the wine from a bottle evenly between us.

This was a great find and a great afternoon, thanks so much We booked to have afternoon tea with a friend travelling across Europe and wanted somewhere easy to find, not too touristy and not too pricey. We found all 3 at Rails The staff were super friendly and made good recommendations about different types of tea to try, didn't hurry us along even though we were there for quite some time and were kind when it came to helping us take a great group photo. We all had the Easter Special Afternoon Tea and enjoyed the sandwiches and cakes, especially the Simnel Cake as we found out that was special for Easter, Thanks so much for a great time

This is a lovely, comfortable and stylish restaurant. It's quite upmarket so the prices are higher than average. The food we had was tasty, but a bit overpriced for what we had. My roasted aubergine dish was basically a can of chickpeas in a spicy tomato sauce with two tiny pieces of roasted aubergine on top. It was tasty enough but I expected something a bit more interesting for the price. Service was pretty good, and the waiter helped us choose the wine, which was lovely. It was quiet when we had our dinner so if it was busier I don't know if we'd have got the same attention. It was also very nice to have a cloakroom for our coats. It's certainly a good place to have a business lunch or dinner. It feels quite private. The tables are generous in size so there's room for laptop/notebook and food. There are sockets near the dining tables too so you can charge your phone or laptop and it's very convenient for Kings Cross St Pancras stations. Vegetarian options: A few veggie options but not that inspired. The non- vegetarian options were probably better.
