Overall a nice experience. The interior lacks aesthetics and proper lighting. It does not give the ambience of a good restaurant. The service could have been better, we tried the wine and sake pairing and the drinks were not consistent. The food was fresh and good quality, however the overall feel of space and service made it not worth it.

This was a late St Valentine's Day lunch, our first time at a Japanese restaurant. An amazing exciting experience. The staff were very friendly and attentive and explained in detail the 6 courses we had. Also our first time with a bottle of Sake - absolutely fabulous !

Very good food, cannot fault omakase at the counter. All delicious and wonderful friendly chefs. However the restaurant needs some maintenance. Counter was scruffy and toilets cheap feeling. At this price level expect better.

Beautiful food, creative presentation, great staff and friendly service. We had a great time for my birthday and enjoyed a winter tasting menu. We also had great Saké recommendations. Reason for giving 4 stars and not 5 is that, for the price point, the decoration would really use a good refresher (the tables could be sanded or changed, the toilets need to be cleaned/fixed, the paint needs re-doing especially in the staircase going to the bathroom etc) I don't think the maintenance of the space reflects well on the quality that the plates convey.
