Ended up passing the camp entrance on a bird photography scout and it brought back so many memories of my time there. I'm sure it's changed a lot in the last twenty three years but I can still remember how much I hated those first weeks but for anyone who's in the same position I'll say push through and talk to the people around you, my sergeant in particular was amazing, really helped me push myself especially when I was feeling alone and awkward.

Our son has recently graduated from RAF Halton, as parents we can't fault the whole process, during the early days of the 10 weeks training, we deceided we wouldn't contact him unless he did us. He focused on what was expected from him , due to his nature and his work ethos,he graduated, and was presented with an award , as parents we would like to thank all staff who assisted, encouraged and sort only perfection in getting our son through the training. Thank you

I did my basic training here in 2002. I thoroughly enjoyed my time here, except for one of our corporal, who was sleazy, and tried it on with all the female recruits. Hopefully he is no longer a trainer. My favourite aspect was training with the RAF Regiment. Some of what I learned, I still utilise today, and i held onto my field manual.

Parade well done, however the wait inside was quite long drawn out and social Distancing was pretty difficult. Toilets flooded downstairs and no refreshments offered in anyway shape or form. The actual parade was quality, disappointing with rip off pieces for media. Especially DVD £28, Blu Ray £29 and a midia stick £30.
