The hotel is tired looking. Halls need updating. Carpet is very tired. Bedding is satisfactory. Restaurant staff are inexperienced and need training. (are inattentive). Restaurant food (supper) was marginal. Chowder was watery and Marguerita pizza was just a cheese pizza (so call it that!). Breakfast buffet was ok but not very hot. Marginal at best. Price point is higher than it should be for the quality. Rooms: Bedding was satisfactory and bathrooms very clean

I loved the location of the hotel, we could walk to town. Easy to get out to go places like the Titanic etc. We arrived when there was complimentary parking, I loved that. The food at the restaurant was nice. I checked in online and selected king bed but arrived in a room of 2 single beds, called reception no answer. Luckily there was a house keeping guy outside who changed it BUT he put in a double inner in a king cover, only realised late at night that the duvet was all wrong. We let it go for the night, in the morning I went to reception to let them know so they'd ask accommodation to have it changed, hours later it hadn't been changed. My advice don't bother ringing reception from your room, it just rings off. I sent an email no reply. I went down to reception to let them know again but nobody went in to change and to hoover. The room itself could have done with a bit of dusting and there were hairs everywhere, particularly in the bath tub and the chair. The lighting was also not that great in that room. The staff are generally nice just one lady that was rude towards my little one, perhaps they don't have enough kids menu, she practically walked over and snatched the menu off my kids hands and said "Give me that small menu" and it turns out the couple with an infant did not need a menu, there were 7 tables with 2 waiters... Her head can't be spinning because of that!! Rooms: For the rates people pay the standard of room should be high, who checks the rooms are up to standard before checking in guests? It's distu
