UPDATE (March 23): They have cancelled my appointment while I was on the way to the hospital and haven't heard from them in a week. UPDATE (Feb 23): It looks like you have to stay on the line until, magically, you join the queue. I waited for 25 minutes on the line to join the phone queue and was number 9. I wish there was a little robot telling people how it works, because not everyone has the privilege to stay over an hour on the phone while at work. Hello, can anyone pick up the phone please?? I have been referred by my GP have been trying to contact this department to book an appointment for a week now. Hopeless service, if it even exists.

Horrible - they never pick up the phone. We really need to re-schedule an appointment due to unforeseen circumstances, and it's impossible to talk to any of them.

From GP I got a referral letter for an ultrasound where it states that if an appointment letter not received in 5 days, contact radiology reception. Of course, letter not received, called 3 days in a row, finally got through. The receptionist asked my hospital No and confirmed the referal was now on their system. I thought OK, will now wait for the app. time and date to be sent to me. Over a week later I received a letter which sayd that I HAVE TO CALL THAT SAME NO I RANG BEFORE TO ARRANGE THE APPOINTMENT..And to make things worse, in the letter the time I should call was Mon- Fr 9:30- 3:30. When I rang on Wednesday at 13:50pm I was told the office hours were different from the ones on the letter! And on Wednesday they only work 9- 12:30, other days also different times from the ones in the letter. So what on earth is going on? It seems like management do not care anymore about quality of work, badly planned, badly organised, employees also do not care!!! Waisting everybody's time!!! This is peoples health, it should be taken seriously!

The phone literally rings for about two minutes and disconnects after telling you you’re number 100000 in the que. Bored of calling, it’s pathetic. Still waiting for my referral appointment to be booked was told to call if appointment wasn’t booked in a few weeks it’s been months.

I fee lucky as The Ultrasound not so important but would be crapping myself if the case was different and worrying.

Told to call this department to make an appointment after they sent the referral. I've been calling 5 times a day for 4 days and nobody has answered, rang for 10 minutes earlier, nothing. Tried both numbers given. Walked to the department and a ride woman with attitude said they have a new system. Why would that stop them answering any phone calls? They sent me a letter to call them. Abseiled joke! Still don't answer the phone number given. NHS joke. I finally got an appt through my GP and the actual radiology team were nice, the admin girls need some customer service training.
