I give a 5 star rating in memory of what this once was and because it brings back happy memories of my youth. Visitors now would never know it was even there, just a few grassy bumps but, if you remembered, you can still trace the course - just about. Happy times.

Back in the day around 1983-84? A local BMX bike shop called RAD City BMX based at Benfleet Tarpots shopping mall helped create a superb BMX track, later adding a concrete start gate and slightly extending the tracks ending. High points were the tracks superb tight fast smooth surface, massive high berms and that awesome Table Top. I know i spent nearly my whole summers there just getting RAD. Sadly the dark days of BMX came in the 90's and the track fell into disrepair, motocross bikes took over adding their stamp to the jumps and gouging into the berms. Gradually time has taken its toll and erosion has worn all but the general idea of its layout away. Very sad that as i thought at the time it was probably the best track for miles around in its heyday. Jonathan Eastoe aka Jonboy a Legendinhisownunderpants. xx
