My second visit to Racquety Farm and still five stars. I think even our non camping friends who stayed in the town might be persuaded to give it a go having visited us on the site.

Good site if you like to party. Midweek it was very peaceful but the weekend the vibe changed to a more boozy and noisy atmosphere. Not my scene tbh but if you want a more laid-back alternative to other sites this is the place to come.

I’m a seasoned camper, but this site is quite special. 5 mins walk from Hay, and a well thought out site. Every pitch has their own space and fire pit. All the toilets are close by. But the shower block is the best I have even used. You have to take your shoes off before you go in, but it makes complete sense. (No dirty floors) and Rugs in every area, so your feet don’t get cold, the radio was playing and free Faith in Nature shower gel!! Perfect. But the best part is the outdoor cafe. Run by the owner, who really knows his food, no greasy food slop here! His family have owned the place for 160 years. You get the sense that he is really connected and loves the place. The Homemade sour bread is just right, combined with the freshest eggs and bacon you will ever taste. Needless to say the breakfast didn’t need any added condiments, as the owners did that with his easy chat and relaxed vibe. It was like meeting an old friend. Book early x

Just had an extended stay at the site whilst recovering from a walking injury and it was a fantastic place to rest up. Very quiet, lots of space between well defined pitches, A very handy covered washing up station and without doubt, the best toilets & (free) shower block of any campsite I've used. Spotlessly clean & spacious, luxurious Hotel standard showers! As campsites go. I can't recommend the place enough. Thanks to Aubrey & family for the warm welcome & putting up with me for so long! If I'm in the Hay on Wye area again, I know where I'm going to stay!

Easily the best campsite on Offa’s Dyke and probably in the whole borderlands/brecons area. Beautiful location and exceptional facilities. Has both outdoor washing and shower/WC facilities (if you want to stay close to nature) but also fantastic (probably the best I’ve seen) indoor facilities as well. The site has a great focus on sustainability as well, including even providing biodegradable shampoo etc to keep their septic tank happy! Would highly recommend and would certainly come back

Just spent 3 days and 2 nights at this little gem of a camping spot. Toilets and showers were of in my opinion spotlessly clean and immaculate, some of the best I have ever stayed in. Aubrey gave myself and Bonnie my little black sprocker a fantastic welcome and so did Murph his older and grumpier cocker but adorable. 5 minute walk to the river and the town, fantastic walks and plenty to see. Another thank you goes out to Geoff and Ros who I met walking the fields back to the campsite. Will definitely be back hopefully in the next couple of weeks. Thank you all. Peter & Bonnie

Just came home from an absolutely amazing stay at Racquety farm! We mostly dealt with Ros who was SO nice and helpful! Hay is probably our favourite place in all of the UK, and the farm was the perfect place for us to enjoy it. Very close to town, super accessible to all that Hay and the river Wye have to offer! We arrived later than we meant to, but Ros was a champ and helped us get our bearings. Everything was easy to find, and we had plenty of space to stretch out over a nice weekend. We 100% recommend and would love to come back - thanks again Ros!
