  Absolutely brilliant and bona fide company that does what is says in its company title. How important is your lost data to you??? Well if it means as much as it does to me and you are stupid enough to not have those back ups in place, then do not complain about the costs to recover them. Relatively speaking, was quite cheap considering there was 25 years worth of data recovered. I used my credit card on this failure on my part but don't regret a single pound spent. Will and his team recovered the data from an old Linux system drive and put it onto a brand new one terabyte external hard drive for me ready to run under Windows. To all persons who need a reputable company and are trawling through various Google searches, this is the real deal and actually do their recovery on site. Hopefully you will never need to be in this situation, but if you do give them a call. Great interaction and regular updates throughout the process. Many thanks to all at R3 Data Recovery. John C.

  Unfortunately had a very stressful experience with this company. I contacted them following a knock to a hard drive I had been using on a shoot production which then struggled to open imagery. R3 agreed to try to extract the files to another drive. I had primarily been liaising with Andy, who at first seemed very helpful but as time went on I became growingly frustrated with the way in which he handled the case. I had been quoted for the emergency package of 72 hours of work and specified via email that if the work would exceed this or if any new costs arose that these should be ran past me before proceeding. I had asked for regular updates but each time I asked, I was promised an update later in the day and each time this did not happen - I had to instead call Andy myself to try and get an understanding of what what going on. I later came to realise that information Andy was providing me with was not clear and there was a grave error of miscommunication on his part which led the company to attempt to invoice me for almost 2 grand - double the original quote & had not notified me of this increase in cost or why this was necessary. I had given 3 priority folders for R3 to recover - one of which was very very urgent, I had specified this when dropping off the hard drive and on a later call. I called Andy 3 days after they had received the hard drive to find that the images from the urgent folder were 'ready' and I had not been notified as asked. Following this they advised they could send a private driver to my home address the following morning - by the next morning they told me they had recovered 100% of the 3 priority folders. I later came to learn this was not the case and roughly 700 of the images from the urgent folder will not open. I was offered a private driver to deliver the new hard drive to my home address. Upon enquiring the cost of this I decided to travel to Sheffield myself to collect the hard drive in person - this was a 3 hour round trip for me. Thank god I did as when I arrived and checked the hard drive on my personal mac I found that it would not read. It turned out that Andy had not informed the technicians that I was a mac owner and they had written the drive for windows use only. I then had to wait 1 hour 30 minutes for them to correct the problem - making me late for a meeting I had later than evening. I dread to think about if I had paid for a private driver for it to arrive and be formatted incorrectly. Again, upon returning home I found that a portion of the files still did not work as I had been told. I am honestly appalled at this poor level of service, for a lab to charge such a high amount and be this unorganised. It is really unfortunate as the other members of staff / technicians I spoke to where apologetic for the circumstances and did everything they could to help. It is the actions of the manager which mean I will never return here or recommend R3 to any of my colleagues or friends.

  r3 data is real deal amoung lot of scams .they help recover data honestly and reliably. I had a raid problem , and i was not in good situation. I was getting quotations and reviews all over the place running in thousands. Then by pure chance i got in touch with r3data recovery I spoke to andy MD. I initially went to another supplier but after speaking to andy i decided to take my disks to him in person in sheffeild. Oarrival in sheffeild, Andy showed me his lab, and its the best lab I have seen. I am in IT myself, but R3/Andy/his team know what they are doing. Lot of people looking at desperations give mindless quotations and andy charged me what was fair and gave me the service and timelines which were real .I got phone call on every stepp. R3 recovvered my data next day, gave the disk to me, charged me absolutely fairly and i left with thanks and gratitute to andy /r3 AND his team. I will highly reccomend R3 . they have best team, labs and are not people who will try to take advantage. Thank you again. Aseem - I am happy to vouch for my experience to anyone- This is first review i am putting for a service, and i will put one up in other places as well

  A massive thanks to Andrew and Will. My son fractured/Broke my USB. The USB contained Very important information relating to university work and other personal information. I called up R3 Data Recovery who are based in Sheffield and was introduced to Andrew at around 9pm. Andrew gave attention to my issue and listened and provided the right advice and did not try to fob me off for such as small task. After being given initial advice i decided to call around other place near Birmingham to save the Journey travelling to Sheffield (85 Miles up North) i wasn't getting anywhere with the advices i initially received from Andrew and was constantly told that i would be at risk of losing my data and we cannot guarantee the safe return of the information on your USB. I got fed up and contacted Andrew and told him that i am on my way. On arrival i was greeted by Andrews colleague 'Will' who had the issue fixed within 30 minutes he contacted me and i was shocked and over the moon. A massive thank you to the whole team you save my hard work that could have actually cost me my life. I can only recommend that you expand offices to other parts of the country as we need people like you. However i will be highly recommending you to friends, family and colleagues. Many Thanks Dawhud

  Thank you SO much for your great work in recovering my data from my USB memory stick. I had no recent backup (I know!!) and a lot of very valuable files which would have taken hours to rewrite. From the moment I spoke to Will, I began to have hope. No false promises, clear outline of costs, timescales and possible outcomes. Fortunately, I was one of the 97% "lucky" ones. All but 13 (unimportant) files restored and returned to me within 48 hours. So pleased I found you!! THANK YOU just doesn't do it really. Can only recommend you at every possible opportunity. x
