There was no pressure to have this or have that, just honest advice and recommendations. Paula, Loz and Trixie helped make my husband and my children’s dad’s funeral really special, where nothing was too much trouble, even suggesting to us that our beloved dogs could be part of the service too, which was really lovely. Their attention to detail is just amazing. We couldn’t have wished for a more supportive funeral director, and were so glad we walked through RH Faulkner’s door having walked through 3 others previously and not being particularly impressed for one reason or other. It was such a different experience with Paula , Loz and Trixie as an independent funeral director, and we would urge anybody to go along and meet Paula and the team before deciding who to trust for your loved ones funeral.     We can not recommend Paula highly enough for guiding us so compassionately through the process after losing our Dad. My sister found Paula through an internet search and after reading a few reviews. We really struck gold. From the moment she arrived she was of great comfort to all our family and showed such care and compassion for our Dad. It gave us great comfort to know he was being cared for by Paula and Loz. Having no experience of organising a cremation service before, Paula guided us through the process and was always on the end of the phone or answering emails quickly to help us along the way. Her responses and the way she always referred to dad as “Dad” rather than his name let us know she understood what we were going through was their to support the whole family and make the process as easy as it possibly could be. The little touches she did throughout were very much appreciated, such as ribbon ties on the coffin and wearing ties in his favourite “Pompey FC” blue. Paula and her team were so professional but extremely caring on the day and did everything they could to ensure the day was a true celebration of our lovely dad’s life and a day he would have been very proud of and pleased with!

    A first class funeral provided by expert professional staff. I have had to organise these things before but I'm pleased to say I have never seen a service conducted at this level. Thanks to Paula and her staff at R H Faulkner and Daughter everything went off perfectly for my Wife Marion's funeral on 13/3/23. The attention to detail was truly magnificant. From the first moment I commissioned Faulkner's and all through the planning stages Paula was so easy to get along with and took a personal interest in everything. Terri, the celebrant conducting the service was wonderful. I was somewhat lost on occasions but Paula was there for me at every stage to guide me as to what to do. Her kindness and understanding was a great comfort me in what was definitely the most distressing time of my life. She went above and beyond what I had expected and I am exceedingly grateful to her for holding me together when I needed it most. Not that it mattered though but she was also by a considerable margin the best for price of all those I had asked to quote. I can not recommend Faulkner's highly enough. Thanks. Richard Warren.
