After having 2 awful experiences with driving instructors and after a 6 year break, I finally decided to start lessons again! I found Martin Qvg on love your door step and had my first automatic lesson with him on 4th of July, and what can I say, I actually feel like I am learning to drive! He even booked my test for me that same day!! I enjoy every lesson so much, and feel like each lesson I am learning something and not just driving in a straight line 🤣 in only a handful of lessons I feel confident and have started to feel like a driver instead of a learner! I would recommend QVG driving school 1000% 🚗 🚗 🚗 Absolutely fantastic driving instructor and driving school!!!

Maria is an excellent driving instructor, she's extremely calm and patient which helped me profusely, especially considering I was a nervous driver to begin with. She's encouraging and always seems to know when you're ready to do manoeuvres/ enter into harder aspects of driving and I recommend anyone who wants to learn/knows someone who wants to learn to use QVG driving school. 5 stars from me :)

First of all, I just want to make it clear that this is not a rating on Martin but a previous franchisee of QVG. From the good ratings QVG has had, I assume that most people are fine. But in my case, that has not been the situation. Please read on so you can avoid similar things if it ever happens to you. After all, Martin wasn't aware how my instructor had been operating until my situation flared up. I had a terrible experience with an instructor named Garry Clowes who was a franchisee of QVG. I was linked to Garry by Martin. There were a number of things wrong but the one that lead me to cancel my advanced booked lessons (£810) with him was his nonsensical justification on cutting my lesson short (20-30 mins at times!) but charging me for full lessons. I politely confronted him twice about this yet he insisted 'this is how it works'. So, I canceled my course with him after 4 lessons (1 missed due to illness). He was not changing his mind and I had had enough. When I asked him for refund, he decided to charge a fee of £665 from the original £810 based on his 'terms and conditions' which said something about not being able to cancel Saturdays without loss of fee. He had booked me for unconfirmed Saturdays in advance and decided to charge on that ground. He also charged me for a lesson that was cancelled in time and was acknowledged by him via text. £665 being a little unfair charge for only 4 x 2hr lessons, I talked to the head of QVG, Martin, and I find that the terms and conditions Garry had given me was not QVG's but his own! So, he had been charging me on false misleading contract! Despite Martin intervening and asking him to refund me fairly (thanks Martin), this guy doesn't listen to professional advice and now I am at a point where I am trying to take him to court. But I have been told he no longer works with QVG and has moved location from London! What a scammy person! I'm not sure how I am going to get around this situation but for all of you going with QVG, please keep the following in mind: 1. Check the terms and conditions you're being given by your instructor is the same as on the website (don't trust them to be a proper franchisee or a decent human being). 2. Know that if you're paying for full 2 hour lessons, you should get full 2 hrs lesson (not 1.5 hr or even 1hr- If they have to 'pick up next pupils' then they need to plan that out of their own time or only charge you for the actual lesson you've done). 3. Realise that Martin and QVG cannot really do much other than advise driving instructors as they are not recipients of the money - so be careful how you give your money out. I'm sure QVG is a good school and ppl have had good experience with them. After all, the ratings are quite high. But I am appalled with my experience and left stressed out.
