I have been a parent at quwwat from the very start in 2003/2004 with my daughter zaynab and will be concluding my journey as a parent in 2019 with rayanne. I have seen all the changes in management, the physical appearance of the school and i have to say the school has fulfilled my aims for my childrens primary education. Each of my children have left primary confident, engaging young muslim women confident in their faith, with good role models and peer groups that has stuck with them for a long time. Every school does have its ups and downs and especially any environment that relies solely on women to be the workforce will experience fluctuations and losses - marriages, babies and families etc. I can see the improvements in physical space and layout has changed with a more modern way to eat lunch/ pe experiences and even the possibility of a hot lunch -long gone are the long mats and microwaves to heat the home dinners ! As a school yes there is always room for improvement and their will be challenges but if you don't have a dialogue or conversation it will never be addressed. I have had the pleasure of being an active member of the pta and hosting interfaith events, the annual funday and ladies winter party as well as been the adult to accompany trips that are given to expand girls learning-swimming, sailing, modern arnis , gymnastics, hifz that have enriched the girls. I have been impressed with the zeal and enthusiasm working with local institutions and charities have had on the girls building links with community making them feel valued. I pray quwwat carries on going from strength to strength that the sacrifices and efforts made by the staff and management are rewarded with for all their efforts. Ameen
