Had a great time at Kala's wedding favour workshop, learning so much about tempering chocolate and making ganaches. It's a very hands-on workshop, where you really create all of the finished chocolates yourself. The flavours I requested for the truffles Kala was able to invent recipes for and tasted divine - thank you so much for such a fun day (and a great lunch too)!

I have purchased Kala's products a few times now. The brownies are varied and delicious. Our firm favourites are the wonderful pralines. These are authentically made, professionally finished and addictive. Kala is very flexible and also facilitates bespoke orders. She always dispatches orders promptly.

Kala was very accommodating in allowing us to come to her house on a Sunday, especially as it was a birthday treat for my partner. There was plenty of space for parking as Kala greeted us at the gate to her lovely home. Walking into her kitchen, we were overwhelmed with the wonderful, chocolatey smells, and seeing prepared ingredients that were hints of what was to come. Kala was incredibly patient and knowledgeable, as well as being entertaining and encouraging. So much so that you get to a point when she might ask you to temper some chocolate and it doesn't phase you! With our limited skill-set, we were still able to produce some quality looking, and tasting, treats. Lunch was very good too, and her cheesecake was beyond belief; you should be able to buy cheesecake making experiences with her!!! Kala was able to accommodate our dietary requirements, and her coffee was incredible. As with most things, practice is the key to improvement and Kala shows you other techniques that might be useful. Who knows, given time we might be booking onto the more advanced course! It was a birthday gift for my partner and she loved it; that in itself makes it worth every penny. Thank you for an excellent experience!

We had karla to demonstrate chocolate making at a kirkbymoorside young farmer's meeting, it was absolutely fantastic. She shared some great knowledge with all of us, and there was plenty of chocolate to take home. Thank you very much karla, for helping all of us at Kirkby Young farmers and look forward to seeing you again soon.

The class was great fun and very informative. Kala knows everything there is to know about chocolate and loves to share this knowledge with you. When we asked questions she happily deviated from the set plan to explain other tips and techniques we would find useful at home. The kitchen is spacious and very well equipped. We made such a mess but Kala was not at all bothered and cleaned up whilst we had a delicious lasagne for lunch. She had even made a birthday cake for our friend! Highly recommend you do a course with this lady. It was nearly a 5 hour round trip for us, but we said we will do it again as it was well worth it!
