I am not a patient with this Surgery but I was referred here for a test. The Reception Staff is very efficient: I received a call from them within 24 hours of my GP request and I have been booked for the ECG I needed. I have had to rearrange the appointment twice but I was able to do this rather smoothly by phone. The Surgery is just off the main road and the building looks odd, -I wish I took a photo now - I was racking my brain to think about what it reminded me of and I only realised when I got home in the evening: the Amityville House of the horror movie!!!Lol It must be the dark wood and glass and the plants climbing up around it.. I arrived earlier for my appointment and the two ladies in Reception were dealing with phone calls and patients. The young woman I spoke to was kind and pleasant, she instructed me to get downstairs where my test was going to be performed. On the way I stopped to use the Unisex toilet (a bit claustrophobic but kept pretty neat all things considered). The GPs are upstairs and downstairs and there is a long corridor with a sitting area. I noticed the Communication Board and there's a poster with a reminder for the patients check ups that I wish was implemented by all Surgeries as it was extremely helpful. One of the Nurses performed my test and I was not impressed by the fact that I wasn't offered a gown, she made me feel uncomfortable and I am a real tough cookie but I did mention this to the Secretary on my way out and she completely understood the feedback I gave and profusely apologized.I am hoping that my comment will be taken on board. Overall I wouldn't go back again unless they take care of providing patients with proper clothing. But, again, 5* to the Receptionists!!

Poor telephone response when telephoning this surgery. We have reached number one in the call queue only for the call to be cut off after just over 46 minutes of waiting in the queue. The online form that the automated message refers to whilst you are waiting on the line is poor and not easily accessible. Not everyone in the community that this GP serves has access to the internet (or even someone that can do this for them) or have a free minutes call plan to be on hold for this long.

I have never been so disgusted with a specific receptionist named Nena. I told her I needed an emergency appointment, she then told me i need to call at 8am, i work from that time so there is no possibility I can make that happen, I explained that to her and she was so rude and started saying I'm just not willing too, rather then understanding my point of view! Honestly people like Nena should NOT work with direct contact with people who are in need of help. Lack empathy

Brilliant surgery….doctors and staff are always very helpful. Have looked after me very well and have always taken great care and ensured appropriate tests etc are conducted in an efficient and timely manner. Communication is great and probably the best GP surgery I have had. Would highly recommend!

Having read some of the reviews I felt the need to write to say how happy we are with the service here. The receptionists have always been polite, friendly and helpful whether on the phone or face to face. We see different doctors from time to time who have been friendly and refer on when necessary. Denny the nurse is excellent and always courteous and friendly.

This is an absolutely rubbish surgery with a terrible reception team. Do not fall ill as this surgery is slow to correspond and difficult to book appointments....I believe this surgery is currently under investigation with the GMC at present. I am looking for a alternative surgery in the area.
