Located in the heart of Bloomsbury, Queen Square is renowned for its proximity to some of the top medical institutions in London, including the National Hospital for Neurology and Neurosurgery (NHNN), Great Ormond Street Hospital (GOSH), and University College London. In fact, NHNN and GOSH are often collectively referred to as the "Queen Square Hospitals." Aside from its medical associations, Queen Square is also a serene and tranquil oasis in the bustling city. Its beautifully maintained garden square features a central lawn, trees, flower beds, and benches, and is home to a statue of Queen Charlotte, the square's namesake, at one end. Many people take advantage of the square's peaceful atmosphere to relax and unwind, whether by sitting on the benches or enjoying a picnic on the grass. This oasis is particularly valuable to those working or visiting the nearby hospitals, which serve patients from all over the UK due to their specialized expertise. Overall, Queen Square is an important natural addition to the well-being of all involved, including medical staff, patients, carers, visitors, and local residents. Its verdant surroundings provide a much-needed respite from the frenetic pace of central London, and contribute to the health and happiness of all who visit.

Popular square just off Southampton Row and next door to Gt Ormond st. Plenty of benches, tree cover and a number of statues. Not big enough for serious exercise but a perfect spot to take a moment.
