I have to admit I had never heard of this place so was a little dubious but I couldn't have been more impressed! The QMH surgical treatment centre was spotless and exceptionally well organised. All the staff were friendly and helpful,my mother is in her 90s,has mobility issues and is a little deaf but the surgeon and nurses took the time to ensure she understood exactly what was happening and make her comfortable. A special mention for Raquel the theatre nurse who helped my mum during her procedure and Gosia the recovery nurse who were both exceptionally kind and considerate. This is by far the best out patients centre I have visited, and I have been to a number. You only tend to hear bad things about the NHS these days but this was so good I felt like I had paid to go private. Brilliant service! There is also ample parking at a reasonable price!

It's now standard to wait 2 hours for a simple blood test. Why not just have 50% booked appointments and 50% drop in to stop alll this wasted time. People do have other things to do with their time!

I used the walk in blood test service at Queen Mary's and I have to say I was very impressed. The receptionists were very helpful and friendly and the place was very clean. Beth, which was the nurse that took my blood test was great ! I have needle phobia and Beth made me feel at ease and didn't even realise when she took my blood. I strongly recommend this service.

So poorly run. Lack of management training results in poor service time and time again. Arrived at hospital within an hour of the scheduled closing time for their phleb service and I find a hand written note on the ticket machine for bloods. Why can’t they use a software ticketing service like other hospitals to save wasted time and effort trekking all this way. Or- just stick to their opening hours listed online?
