We choose this restaurant for our anniversary celebration and it was a great choice! A very nicely decorated place with great food. I highly recommend cauliflower in sweet-chilli sauce and seafood. Very professional and friendly service. Thank you for an amazing evening.

The steak was great but problems with the lobster, manager put it right. To be honest though poor service , not asked if we wanted more drinks etc. It was a busy day with river fest going on but would we go again, not sure. Disappointed.

From other reviews, must have been a bad day. Lobster was rubbery, steak was only okay, fries were clearly reheated. Restaurant itself is just a rehash of the place before, even trade still trade as Riverside Grill. Clincher for me was staff eating their dinner at the kitchen service hatch. Again maybe a one off bad night, but at their prices I was expecting more.

Please follow and listen to the reviews, unlike myself who ignored them and still ate here Saturday night. Food was pretty good all round which is why I won't give it 1*. However, the calamari was undercooked which can cause food poisoning if consumed. I ate a few but couldn't touch the rest due to just how undercooked they were. We pointed this out to the waiter who sadly didn't seem to understand. In fact, most of the staff struggled with comprehending - we had to repeat our order a few times till they understood. We now have food poisoning from the calamari so I urge people to avoid this restaurant at all costs.

This pub / restaurant is very busy so it is doing something right. However, it's not everybody's cup of tea. It's inexpensive and when not too busy the food is served quickly. If the weather is good there is outdoor seating overlooking the marina. But if you're on a date or want to impress I'd suggest The Royal Oak in neighbouring Cogenhoe or the Four Pears in neighbouring Houghton.
