For those looking to book a pitch as part of the C&MC. As part of a larger site with lodges and pods, the CL site is tucked away within its own open space with hard standing pitches, complete with electric hook up and water connection. A Toilet and shower can be found a sort walk away back at reception which also has a small shop selling the essentials. This is a fantastic location with woodland walks and places to explore, Alstom Towers is close by if you’re visiting for the theme park, there was some noise at night when the wind blows that way but it’s minimal.

The Lodge we was in (5 Robin lodge) was absolutely beautiful. Spotlessly clean upon arrival. The facilities were outstanding. If WiFi was purchased, then you could easily use the buult in lodge sound system for music (on quietly obviously!). The bathroom was great, with a big double shower. The kitchen is equipped with everything you need. Just your own food / condiments / drinks required if eating there. Hot tub was big enough for 4 easily, probably more (only 2 of us there). Woodlands literally at the end of your veranda, which was great for watching birds and other wildlife. The site location is well situated for local activities if you have a car. If not, then there is still lovely walks and things to do nearby. Then there is the staff. We'll, all I can say is, they are absolutely outstanding in every sense. Super friendly, super approachable, unbelievably helpful. They absolutely add to the enjoyment of the stay, knowing they will go above and beyond to make your visit a memorable one. As soon as its possible, I will happily be booking up again for return stay.

I have just got back from any amazing weekend. The Hedgehog lodge was absolutely beautiful and very well fitted out and to an amazing standard. Staff were really friendly and helpful. The hot tub was fantastic. It is completely off grid, unless you pay for the wi-fi. The way they have positioned the tubs and lodges gives you almost completely privacy, superb. Only downside is the drive ways around the site, you certainly do not want a low ground clearance car, would advise a SUV if you have one.

We booked the Badger plus lodge for 4, myself, husband and my 2 children. Thought it would be perfect for a short stay (4nights) and very close to Alton Towers. The staff were very helpful and welcoming on arrival and our hot tub was hot and ready to be used as soon as we arrived! The location is very rural, in the middle of nowhere, which I really liked! The lodge was warm and well equipped. Including fresh milk in fridge, bin bags, dishwasher tablets, washing up liquid, towels, 2 robes, lots of toilet rolls! It was raining a lot which made the paths muddy, so wellies are needed! It was a lovely four night getaway! The only thing that I do think needs to be reviewed is the extra charge for WiFi, on top of the cost of the holiday and the fact that it only allows 3 people to use the WiFi in one lodge, when there are 4 of us, so one of us had to go without!
