Let’s be honest, it’s nothing special anymore. Quirky but overpriced and some terrible seating and pretentious service. Time for a revamp I think. Gildas with a massive olive were unbalanced, scallops were overpowered by the salty sauce, when we explained , waitress said “that’s the anchovies, the sauce has anchovies “. Lol. Yes sweetie - too much anchovy!!! Tiny lasagna (nothing special) tiny piece of Turbot with tiny oily veg portion for £32 ! Honestly it’s disgraceful. And to top it all if your lucky you get to eat off a table (a shelf) 12 inches wide which struggles to accommodate even their tiny plates. I’m thinking the kings new clothes. Wake up. Forget Instagram. Read the reviews. Ok. No dessert - £168 for two light dinners. You decide.

I had dinner here, and my phone was stolen by a non-patron who walked in off the street and snatched it from the table. I was seated in the back of a restaurant, which I believed to be a safe space to relax and enjoy time with friends— at the price, I believe that is a reasonable expectation. An already-expensive dinner, with an added 1k on top to replace my phone. The owner was aware and didn’t bother to comp even a round of drinks. Disappointment all the way around.

Food was delicious and the multi-dish structure of the meal was perfect and filling. Ambiance is off the charts and is great for a date, family meal, or a meal with friends. Staff is young and energetic and can provide great guidance for ordering.

Bloody fantastic. Chop house and wines, both are awesome. Go to quality wines for lunch and chop house for dinner. Steak will knock your socks off. Confit potatoes are out of this world and their homemade fudge is the perfect end to an awesome meal

Great food, quality wines and a wonderful team that make coming week after week worth it. There is nothing not to like about this place. The fact that a restaurant this wonderful can not only exist but thrive notwithstanding the difficult circumstances the industry has been facing over the last few years, is a minor miracle.
