Superb cakes by award winning chef Gavin. Served in a friendly and proficient manner with great tea and coffee in a quaint, shady rear garden. Glad to be able to make use of our first bit of goo weather although there is plenty of indoor seating including a function room. Can’t wait to try lunch there.

Fabulous coffee and cake shop, recenty opened in Dorking, huge choice of freshly made cakes all made on the premises and a delightful choice of freshly made sandwiches. Plenty of seating inside and a cosy charming outside seating area. Great place for a delightful coffee/lunch break.

We have been regular visitors to Putty Cakes for their delicious cakes and very friendly welcome for a while now, and are so pleased that they have added sandwiches to their menu too. A varied and imaginative choice of sandwich options, all made freshly. Highly recommend the chickpea, so tasty...a wonderful combination of flavours.

Wow wow I had a beautiful cake made by Gavin From putty cake in Dorking for our 25th wedding anniversary it was a two tei top was red velvet and bottom was a beautiful vanilla and iceing was silver and pink roses the sponges was out of this world in taste I could not wish for anything else 1the professional service what Gavin advise me about a cake the price of the cake was fantastic on what it was and at our party everyone was enjoying it and asking me who made it so I highly recommend putty cakes in South Street

Beautiful coffee shop with a great range of freshly baked cakes, including vegan, gluten free and dairy free options. We have now visited several times and everyone is always so friendly and helpful. Can't wait to sit in the little courtyard more frequently when it's warmer. The cinnamon buns are amazing, highly recommended! We are looking forward to sandwiches being added to the menu as well.

Delicious cakes and great steaming hot coffee . A really quaint little shop with a cozy , home like atmosphere. Great after an afternoon exploring Dorking's many antique shops , a ramble on the Downs or just in-between regular shopping. Do the freshly baked coffee and walnut cake.
