You can always tell someones character when there are problems and the lads at purbeck marine have shown me theirs. I bought a boat which had just had £10,000 worth of work done to the engine, it was rebuilt and the turbo was refurbished. After just 25 hours the turbo blew. I sent the turbo to them and they decided that 1 year warranty didn't apply because their contract was with a previous owner so they wouldn't cover any of the costs to repair it. To add insult to injury, they took nearly 6 months and repeated follow ups by me for them to decide that they wouldn't cover it or even offer any discount on the £895 (plus vat) price to repair it. The cherry on top is that now it's been 6 weeks since they said they'd return my turbo and they've ignored my email and text, all the while my boat is still out of the water.... Avoid at all costs, I've contacted a lawyer and I'll see them in court I also notice they charged the previous owner £321 for a stop solenoid which retail at £58...

I asked Purbeck Marine to carryout a mechanical report on a Boat at Cobbs Quay Marina. very poor communication and reluctant put there findings on an email, without a lot of requests. I would not recommend this company to do a mechanical rephrase .
