After an already long wait, a 2am call jolted me awake just to tell me I'm BACK ON THE LIST, for reasons that honestly made no sense. This service has taken a significant toll on my mental health over the past year. I can't shake off the feeling that they have completely dismissed my time and patience.

From the initial enquiry to receiving my diagnosis today I have nothing but praise for P-UK. My psychiatrist, Dr Axelby, was wonderful - caring, understanding and offered me support I didn’t know existed. I’ve wasted years not knowing I had autism and today is the first day of my new life all thanks to P-UK!

i heard so many good things about Psychiatry UK so decided to go with them as my GP is horrific but it was just awful. i will say the GP definitely didnt help and i ended being an intermediary between my GP and PUK and no one would do anything to help me and just told me it wasnt their problem. My consultant was great and very understanding however the rest of the experience has been very poor and communication with my prescriber hasnt been great either. i feel really let down knowing i cant go to my GP until i change surgeries/move house as they are just so awful and all i got was extra stress and hassle added to my life so none of it was worth the months of effort i put in :(

I have had my own positive experience with psychiatry Uk but my daughters assessment was extremely poor. I have made an official complaint and requested the recording of the non existent assessment . I will be escalating this as high as I can. Nobody should have to go through this biased and unprofessional process. It was a stark contrast to my own assessment which was extreme through and comprehensive. It’s a lottery seemingly dependent on who you are allocated.

My experience with Psychiatry UK has been extremely traumatic. I have come to the conclusion that a 50 minute online consultation is not enough to discuss 43 years of masking and struggle. My psychiatrist seemed more interested in my sister's notes than in my personal experience. She just kept insisting that I wasn't autistic (while admitting that I displayed traits) and seemed to be really pushing an ADHD agenda. I would not recommend this service to anybody. Instead of answers, I feel worse than when I started and still have no explanation for why I find everything so hard.

I was referred to Psychiatry UK from the NHS in order to discuss an ADHD diagnosis and possible help. I was a little anxious - to put it lightly - as I'd never had such a diagnosis before and aside from my Anxiety medication, I'd never been on a Titration plan. But the entire process from start to finish was clear, comfortable and kind. All staff I met treated me with respect and were incredibly patient with my millions of questions and concerns. They were upfront about possible changes and were flexible in recommending me medication to suit me personally. It was very clear to me how experienced they are in their jobs and how suited they are to helping people. I am just finished my titration period with a new medication that suits me and genuinely has assisted me in being much healthier, healthier than I have been in years, mentally and physically. It took some trial and error but the staff were so patient and understanding the entire step of the way. I would like to give a special shout out to Sarah Purchase, who has been in contact with me for the past several months. Sarah is absolutely amazing at her job, incredibly knowledgeable and without her I don't think I would have come out the other side half as well as I have! I cannot stress how grateful I am to her and for all the hours she has put in to helping me. Thank you, Sarah! To round off, thank you to the entire team of Psychiatry UK. With the awful strains on our medical departments and wait times being long, it can be worrying to someone who wants to get better but cannot afford a private practice. When I think back to how I was when I first got into contact last June for my appointment and initial diagnosis, compared to now it is like night and day. Of course, everyone is different and experiences treatment differently, but for me I am so happy to be back to a much healthier point in my life. You have given me the support and tools I needed to make the steps to improving my health and my life and for that, I am so very grateful. Thank you all again!

I could not have asked for more from psychiatry UK. The consultation for ADHD was thorough and showed very clear understanding of how this affected me. I was also helped in items of shaping m own insights. The titration was REALLY wonderful. My nurse, Helen was so understanding and supportive. The process itself was such a great help in finding the right dose for me and ensuring my continued health. Finally, the advice and reassurance about the future was so kind and empathetic, as well as reassuring and insightful. This treatment has been life-changing for me. At 57 I am finally able to be myself without all the extra difficulties that I just thought were a part of life being so hard to navigate. I’ve had an amazing experience but I also genuinely feel the NHS and the taxpayer has gotten great value from Psychiatry UK. There is no way I could have had this experience and positive outcome via the NHS. It’s also allowed me to make a greater contribution to society because I’m able to work far more effectively and add more value to public service via my own work. To my Titration nurse, Helen, I’d just like to say “Thank you so much. You’ve changed my life and I will never forget you
