Feel like we have been mugged off. Phoned to book new tyres, a sensor fitting and an MOT, guy on the phone was lovely, said not a problem and got it booked in really quickly, explained how they take info from the other tyre sensors to copy onto the new ones, no mention of us needing the old sensor. When we took the car in the (incredibly rude and grumpy) man on the front desk tells my husband “don’t work like that” and we needed to bring the sensor in so we had to come back and search for that! Luckily we still had it! Car needed more work doing, we were told £400 and the car was booked in for the next week. Took the car down at 9:30am, waited until 5:20pm for a call to say it was ready then we had to call them as they were soon to close! Told we could collect and were greeted with the same grumpy bloke and bill of £500. Asked why it was more and just repeated “labour costs” which really should be mentioned beforehand as funnily enough, some people need to budget for these things! Will never use again.

So impressed. I had a slow puncture, so I took my Skoda to Halfords in Fratton yesterday, who quoted me £125 for a new tire. They said they couldn't repair it!? Took it to Protyre, they quoted £77, but then called me asking "why do you want a new tire we can repair this for £25!" I am absolutely delighted. I shall be returning. Great customer service too - very friendly and helpful. Much appreciated! :)

Pretty disappointing experience. Booked a Groupon MOT and wheel alignment check package. Car failed its MOT for cut in tyre tread, the same wheel as it failed last year BUT this was a brand new tyre. No offer of repair, guess they expected to sell a new tyre. Took car away and asked a local garage to look at it, firstly their MOT tester said it was only an advisory and secondly they said it could be repaired, although they weren’t happy drilling and patching a tyre that in their opinion didn’t need it. Much head scratching later when the only option I had to pass the retest was to fix the tyre. Returned car for retest who passed it but still stated it shouldn’t have been fixed?!?! Still never got the wheel alignment check I paid for. It felt like an upsell on the discounted MOT, nice bit of profit if you can get away with it. Tyre would have been around £250!

Went to have a puncture repaired at reserved time and after waiting for over an hour being told it was not repairable and have to buy new. Fortunately I had enough know how that it could be repaired and went to another service provider where it was fixed.
