  We would highly recommend Paul and his team. From first to last they provided a 1st class service. They were prompt in providing the quote and everything we asked was responded to in a highly professional manner. They carried out the work when promised and to a very high standard. The fitter, Simon is meticulous thoughtful and in our view top drawer. He was ably assisted by Callum. Both men were a delight to deal with and carried out a difficult job in replacing our bedroom windows with a rendered wall to contend with. They were very careful to cause as little disturbance as possible. We intend to use this first rate business again next year.

  We asked for a solid oak staircase as we had been quoted for MDF/pine etc, we specifically said we do not want MDF at all, measurements were taken, the staircase was delivered and we noticed issues with the post flaking and the groove around the post was not smooth at all, when we pointed this out we were told it will just need sanding when it’s fitted, we insisted it be sorted before we had them fitted, this was done, the guys who fitted the staircase for us (not from here but do work with them regularly) the issues just kept coming, once fitted we noticed the risers looked different to the treads, to our surprise and disappointment the risers were made of MDF oak vaneer, all we have been told is this is what we use it’s better, but it’s not what we asked for, if we had known we would not have gone with them, the newel post didn’t meet the floor once fitted so a block has had to be glued underneath, it takes ages to get replies and when you get them you feel they don’t care, they have your money and that’s the end of it, so upset but nothing we can do now, I will never recommend this company. In future I will be asking for a full parts used invoice, not like this one which just said bespoke oak staircase. Very very poor customer service .

  We wanted to get a repair done on the bay window of our Victorian House. The gentleman from Prospect Joinery came in the Autumn to look at the job and said he would put a quote together for doing the work in the Spring. We contacted the company numerous times by phone and email asking for the quote and were told that they would get back to us. They never did which we feel was extremely rude and discourteous. Even if they were unable to do the work they should have let us know. Would not recommend this company to anyone!!!

  We have used Prospect Joinery to replace the windows and door of our period cottage and found them an absolute pleasure to deal with. The quality of the joinery is excellent, staff are friendly and efficient and the job was done on time with the minimum of fuss. Five stars without hesitation

  booked an appointment with Prospect Joinery for a survey/quote for 9 windows to be replaced. due to arrive this morning 16th sept at 11am. At 11.20 I contacted them to see if there was a problem only to be told that they had forgotten all about my appointment and that the chap had gone out now with his daughter. I was a little taken aback by this no apology or anything so I told them to forget it as who wants a contractor that forgets to turn up.I told the guy it was very remiss of them as this was potentially a large order and that my neighbours also need theirs doing and word of mouth counts for a lot when choosing workmen. To which i got the reply "Well I'm sure we can survive without your business". Well i'm sure i can survive very nicely without this contractor . be very careful if you choose this firm most unreliable in my opinion.
