  To assist with clarity, the following is my original review which I posted last year, but hasn't appeared on the companies website. My experience with Progressive Furnishings has left my wife and I feeling upset, frustrated and in utter disbelief at the dismissive and patronising attitude of this company and its employees. I purchased a London Suite, leather reclining settee and matching reclining chair from Progressive Furnishings on 5th November 2021 at a cost of £3238. A short while after the furniture had been delivered I found that a black oil/ grease substance had dripped from the settee onto my carpet. The owner of the company came out to inspect the settee on 13th January 2022 and also again on 31st January 2022. He repeatedly said that he could not see where the grease was coming from despite the fact that whilst inspecting the settee he wiped off an excessive amount of black grease from the metal frame and also drip shaped globules that correlated directly with the black grease on the carpet. When I explained that the carpet was only two years old and cost £1100.00, the owner and his employee became confrontational. On the 20th January 2022 I commissioned an independent, Homeserve report costing £60.00. The report stated that ‘oil/ grease had emitted from the motor and transferring onto the customer’s carpet’. In response to this report and in the only letter that I have received from Progressive Furnishings dated 27th February 2022 the owner implied that I had caused the damage myself. Progressive Furnishings commissioned B T Scott & Son to inspect the settee on 14th April 2022. B T Scott removed an excessive amount of a black, grease substance from the frame. On the recommendation of the B T Scott technician I purchased 3 sets of glides at £10.00 each set, which have had the effect of lifting the metal frame away from the carpet. Progressive Furnishings have done nothing that could be considered to be helpful or constructive. They have been focused entirely on their denial of any responsibility whist attempting to provoke and antagonise the situation by making quite appalling and pathetic insinuations. Progressive Furnishings failed in every aspect of customer care and service and their behaviour has lead me to doubt whether the guarantee they offer is actually worth the paper it is written on.

  3rd time of purchasing from this store. This purchase was a dining set. Having made the purchase for a new house, it fell through, and then the house purchase after that took forever too. The team were really understanding and supportive in holding off the delivery accordingly. Very grateful for that! Once finally delivered, it's a lovely furniture set and I'd be happy to shop here again. Thr friendly personal touch in sales is nice to see still in existence.

  Excellent service in difficult times,We ordered 2 x 2 seater Settees and due to covid the delivery time was badly effected.This wasn't an issue as we where offered a temporary loan settee until ours arrived.We now have our new settees excellent quality at a good price.You wouldn't get this sort of personal service from any other retailer.Very happy and will be back for more furniture in the near future

  We ordered two large oak wardrobes and two matching chest of drawers and the quality of the furniture is impeccable and looks fantastic. The spaces where the wardrobes sit are unusual sizes due to our chimney breast, we explained this issue to the guys at Progressive Furnishings and they found us the perfect sized furniture. The two men that delivered and assembled the set were extremely professional, mindful of not letting my cats out and offered me aftercare advise when I enquired. They were super friendly and assembled the whole lot in about 1.5 hours which was impressive! Can’t recommend this place enough.

  I cannot say enough good things about this company. Their furniture is beautiful and incredibly well made. The sales staff are polite, knowledgeable and friendly and the delivery men that delivered to me today were the same and very efficient. I’ve used them before and will continue to do so. Very happy customer. The delivery guys even took all the packaging away something I’ve never experienced before 😊👍🏽
