I was offered a support worker role, my DBS was sent off, when it was on the last stages, which took a ridiculously long time, I put my notice in to my previous job then suddenly they decided they wanted every single reference for every job I've worked for which ranges over 12 years. Never had that happen to me before. Then when I couldn't provide as I genuinely couldn't remember my managers name or details from when I was 17, they withdrew the role from me. So I was actually without job for almost 6 weeks due to that and ridiculously long last stage of the DBS process. Literally don't understand why. I have a clean criminal and work record. Luckily I found another care job within 2 days and started there a week later. I really feel I dodged a bullet tbh. Such a farce.🤷🏻♀️
