I was referred to this company after contacting another CV writer who was fully booked, I reviewed their website which said all the right things. After some consideration I made contact by sending my CV in for a free review. This came back considerably quick. Following this I reviewed the detail of feedback I was given and had doubts I would receive what I was looking for as the feedback was very close to what was said on their website with very little personalisation. However after 10 years of not updating my CV I decided to continue. The next step was a telephone consultation, this was very thorough indeed. (A word of advise, prepare before this - it’s a full on interview) Following this a day or so later I received a new CV, whilst I understand this is your job and you do it daily, it just came back a little too quick for my liking. On reading the CV, it confirmed my initial concerns. As I read the CV it became more apparent that a generic format is followed by this company, don’t get me wrong it was a nice CV, but it just wasn’t right for what I was expecting. Just starting a new role, I got completely tied up which ultimately led me to to forget about the follow up for some time. Once I did in fact remember I made contact and received good customer service. At the start I sent in a job description of the type of job I was applying for, following the CV build the job happen to be re-posted, I sent the CV in but failed to get anywhere with it, I used social media to contact the recruiter and we had a good discussion about the CV/ hiring techniques they used, to which I sent in the information and YouTube video that was shared with me for further CV adaptions. Unfortunately it seems the CV writer wanted more information, requested by email (I missed the email) however I had already sent in all the information I had so was counter-intuitive. Due to this the CV remains at its current stage, lacking in a personal touch, a feel of standardisation and missing information recruiters are looking for. I have now found myself using my old CV having now updated it myself. As I said, it is a nice CV, as a hiring manager I would defiantly consider inviting the candidate to an interview, but feel it would loose out to a more stand out CV. I paid for the senior management level CV, but would consider this CV a basic level - low level management standard. 3 star for customer service provided, not the final product.

I highly recommend Professional CV Writing! Jemma did a fantastic job by first asking me some questions in order to ensure I’m assigned the right consultant for my needs. I then was assigned with Joshua who was simply brilliant! I was extremely impressed by the amount of communication we had and by the level of care and detail he put in. Joshua crafted a CV and Cover letter that fit me perfectly and showcased my strengths in a number of ways I hadn't even thought about! Also, his advice and tips were of particular help to me. He really went above and beyond and I can't thank him enough!
