Awesome little shop. Being from Canada but also being a huge lifelong fan of Dead Or Alive and Pete Burns I have heard a lot about Probe Records. Truly a legend of a shop. I finally got to make it over to the UK for vacation so naturally when in Liverpool I had to stop by. It was a Monday and we didn't find out until we were at the door that they "occasionally" open on Monday. But, we were in luck and they were open. Very small shop but filled with so much history and great records. I was lucky enough to find a DOA record from the very place one of my favorites once worked. Thanks for opening up that Monday to allow this Canadian dude to check off something from his bucket list.

The guy on the counter may well be the gatekeeper to hell! The misery he exudes is unfathomable.

Felt like entering a mortuary on private land ….they really don’t want to be there and any question seems a bother, effort and met with derision. Two chaps one seemed like he had the weight of the world, the other was in love with his phone. Liverpool has plenty of record shops this is one that should be a historical footnote and will be quite soon, on all accounts
