  I had my initial consultation with Mr A in April. He answered all of my questions and spoke in detail about all the possible options I had. Mr A was very informative about all of the pros and cons about each procedure. I decided to go with the sleeve and had that done in May at Spire London. The surgery went well and my recovery has been even better. Ive been back to the hospital to see Mr A for a follow up appointment where I was able to ask more questions/queries. Overall, I’ve been extremely happy with the treatment I’ve received from Mr A and would recommend him to anyone considering a gastric sleeve.

  I have recently undergone the gastric sleeve surgery with Mr Agrawal at River Hospital. My experience has been amazing. Mr Agrawal and his team are kind, caring & straight talking. The care I have received is outstanding. The surgery has been a success & I am enjoying my new journey already, whilst always being supported by Mr Agrawal and his team at every step.   I had my sleeve with dr agarwal on the 13th May I was 16 stone 10. 2 weeks down and I’m not 14stone 10 and 3/4 more stone to go til I’m at goal. Just amazing. Dr agarwal spoke to me in such detail on our first meet explaining the pros and cons and was extremely honest with me on what could go wrong etc. He was the only consultant I’ve ever seen who has been so honest about risks - he really goes into detail about each bariatric surgery available and what they involve His chair side manner is amazing too. I’m currently going the way I want to on the scales in just 2 weeks and I have dr agarwal to thank for this miracle. I fully recommend him to all

  I carried out a lot of research into getting the gastric sleeve surgery prior to finding Mr Agrawal. I decided to go with Mr A as it looked as though he is one of the most experienced in his field and I had seen many good reviews. It was a bonus that he works from my local private hospital. From my first consultation Mr A was very open and honest and thoroughly talked me through everything I needed to know to ensure I was making the right decision. It was recommended that I spoke to a psychiatrist before Mr A would go ahead with the surgery. I never felt pressured at all to go ahead with the surgery and was always reassured that it was my own decision to make. Mr A even reassured me on the morning of my surgery that it wasn’t too late to change my mind if I didn’t want to go through with it. Mr A and his team, especially Liz the dietician, have provided great communication throughout the whole process and if I have any questions or worries, they are more than happy to answer. I had my surgery at Rivers hospital and the care I received from everyone involved for my two night stay was amazing. I was made to feel comfortable and at ease which I really think helped my recovery to go so smoothly. The nurses were very thorough and were carrying out many different tests throughout my stay. I am now 10 days post op, very pleased with my weight-loss so far and have had no complications. I feel great within myself and can’t thank Mr A enough as I am slowly gaining my confidence back as each day goes by. I would recommend anyone thinking about weight-loss surgery to book a consultation with Mr A and he will tell you all you need to know in order to help you make the right decision.

  To say this operation has changed my life would be a massive understatement. I only wish I’d had the conviction years ago. Seeing myself and celebrating my success is still difficult, my mind and self-confidence have a lot of catching up to do. Mr Agrawal put the whole process in such plain terms that I went into it without any hesitation, knowing that he was only an email away offered such reassurance. In fact the whole team including bariatric nurses and dieticians made the whole experience so positive. Spire East London looked after me brilliantly, I felt cared for and safe even when attempting the stairs for the first time…I was worried! To anyone considering, this isn’t a magic wand but it is an amazing tool to undue years of poor choices and not valuing yourself, that’s how I see it anyway. For me this was last chance saloon as I’d tried everything I should and many things I shouldn’t have done to lose weight. Thank you for enabling me to experience success with something that always evaded me.

  I feel very fortunate to have been under the care of Mr Agrawal since February 2022. I had my sleeve in Dec 2022 as I first required treatment for my sleep apnoea. His professional yet warm, empathetic approach put me at ease immediately and I had complete confidence and trust in his expertise from our first consultation. I never feel uncomfortable to ask questions and he is always so patient and explains everything clearly and in an honest, understandable manner.
