FAQ
What is your mission statement and how do you aim to achieve it?
Our mission at the Priory Street Centre is to provide a welcoming and inclusive space that fosters personal and community growth. We achieve this by offering a variety of programs, events, and services that promote well-being and support lifelong learning. We strive to create a safe and supportive environment where individuals can connect, learn, and grow together. Is there a maximum capacity for the venue and if so, what is it?
Yes, there is a maximum capacity for our function room. The capacity varies depending on the setup of the event, but it typically ranges from 50 to 100 guests. Our team can work with you to determine the best setup for your event and ensure that it meets all safety regulations and guidelines. Are there any restrictions on decorating the function room?
While we encourage our clients to personalize the function room to their liking, there are some restrictions on decorations. For safety reasons, we do not allow open flames or the use of confetti, glitter, or other small particles that can be difficult to clean up. We also ask that decorations do not damage the walls, floors, or furniture of the function room. What is your cancellation policy in case we need to cancel or reschedule our event?
Our cancellation policy varies depending on the type of event and the amount of notice given. Generally, we require a non-refundable deposit to secure the booking, and the remaining balance is due a few days before the event. If you need to cancel or reschedule your event, please contact us as soon as possible to discuss your options. We will do our best to accommodate your needs and find a solution that works for everyone. How do you allocate your funding and what percentage goes towards program expenses?
As a non-profit organization, we are committed to using our funding to support our mission and the needs of our community. We allocate our funding based on our strategic plan and the priorities identified by our board of directors. We strive to keep our program expenses as low as possible while still providing high-quality services and events. Currently, approximately 80% of our funding goes towards program expenses, with the remaining 20% going towards administration and overhead costs.Reviews

Attended the CVS Hall for a meeting. When I arrived at the centre and went to reception, it wasn't been manned. Staff walked by and didn't acknowledge me. It did not feel like a friendly space. After waiting in reception for 15 minutes I decided to go back outside and try and find the hall which I did. It is a generous size with large round tables. I was encouraged by the meeting host to help myself to a hot drink from the kitchen. I was pleasantly surprised how well it was stocked with a range of teas and coffee. There was a good choice of biscuits too. There were a few technical issues getting the presentation to broadcast on the large screen but once centre staff had sorted it there were no further issues. The toilets were clean. There is wheelchair accessible parking and access. Normal parking is an issue around the centre. I parked in Nunnery Lane car park and then it's just a short walk. The hall is suitable for large groups.
