My wife was sent here and was diagnosed with ‘traits of Bordeline Personality Disorder’. Since her stay in this place we have been through hell. The priory group recieved an absolute fortune from us for her stay in the hospital. They offered almost nothing that could help us in the long term. If she had stayed in a hotel for a few weeks and been to see a better doctor we might now be better off. The diagnoses was incorrect she deserves a full diagnosis of the BPD so that this would be treated seriously, As a result myself and my young daughter have to cope with lies, compulsive spending, bouts of anger and violence followed by short lived periods of calm and perfection. The priory group did not come close to diagnosing this issue let alone treating it. They were however very very good at taking the money, they were exceptional at this. And the minute there is no money left…..the person does not exist. Overall, absolutely appalling.

My experience at the Priory Hospital in Woking was life saving. As both an in patient and out patient, the care staff were so loving and caring. The therapy was very diverse and helpful. I’m shocked by the negative reviews, I was there on and off over a 12 month period and also know other people who have been in the priory. I would send any of my loved ones there for help.

Staff are amazing. The rooms are fairly outdated. More staff required. More therapy sessions needed.

Sam, Sharron, Kanny and the rest of the team in the Addictions Treatment Program are some of the kindest people I have ever met. They show so much compassion and care for their patients they really want people to get and stay well. Thank you all, when times are hard knowing you have my back goes a long way xx

This was the venue in which I turned my life around completely. 9 years later, I thought it was time I gave them a review! I’m still in recovery and life has never been better. First class.

Absolutely horrible place which scarred me forever. They were highly aggressive on the restrains and bruised and scratched my shoulder dragging me out of my room across the carpet, resulting in a carpet burn like injury on my shoulder which they did not tend to and only the 2nd hospital I was admitted in actually took the time to clean my wounds that they created. The staff are vile and cause patients to get worse. I would NEVER recommend anyone going here, NHS or private.

I stayed for two months back in 2011. I can say without a doubt my life was saved. Headed down a bad path with addiction. They took care of this Random American who showed up. I still have great friends that I met there to this day. Actually I visit Woking regularly. Thank you

I was only there for a short time but within that time they were able to teach me so much about how I can cope with and recover from my mental health problems. I feel happy for the first time in 8 years. Almost anxiety free for the first time in 8 years. That I understand myself for the first time in 8 years. Genuinely a miraculous and life changing experience. Everyone is so kind, skilled, attentive and caring. I cannot fault this establishment at all. They were also able to make sure I could continue getting outpatient treatment and support to enable me to carry on improving. If you need help, there is no debate; this is the place for you. Thank you for giving me my life back. Also to counter Richard’s review, the NHS patients are lovely if you aren’t a bigot.
