  Printinc have done excellent work for Whittingtons, Chartered Accountants before, so when we wanted a printer for our Christmas cards Printinc was our first choice. There is still something special about physical Christmas cards that electronic cards cannot replicate. So Whittingtons opted for physical Christmas cards, however, as a professional firm we are very concerned about our image and everything that bears our name. This is where Printinc stepped up and were so much more than a printer. They managed the whole process including helping us choose the perfect image for us and assisted with other details such as choice and size of font and message. The cards were delivered speedily at a time when printers are under pressure. We, and our clients were delighted with the results and would happily recommend the Printinc team.

  I, like many I suspect, have been tempted by the (apparent) ease and cheapness of online business card print services. Once I started the process I became completely stuck though because I wanted a finish on the card which felt like mushroom skin. Unsurprisingly nowhere on all those websites did it translate “that nice ‘mushroom’ skin finish” into it’s technical name so I was, frankly, scared of wasting my money by just picking a finish and hoping for the best. If you have any anxiety about wasting marketing budget on making a mistake ordering business cards (or any other printed items), please go directly to calm, kind and reassuring Carolyn who, with her husband, runs local business, Printinc. When I asked Carolyn she didn’t bat an eyelid, get all patronising, roll her eyes or start rattling off “techno-speak” at my lack of knowledge (well, you don’t know what you don’t know do you? That is why we seek the services of professionals who do know.) “Soft touch laminate gives that ‘mushroom’ feel” said she. Printinc are also no slouch when it comes to adopting new technology. I asked if it was possible to raise the tangles making up my logo to have a slight “3D” effect and Carolyn knew all about leading edge raised UV printing telling me it would also give the tangles shine and a texture, a great idea when we are all trying to differentiate ourselves from others in our field. I was also curious about having each strand of the logo metallic (this is using coloured foil Carolyn told me). Finally, I asked about gilt-edging my cards (not an option on the online printing sites I visited) and, again, kind and patient Carolyn took this completely in her stride and explained now we’d be in a trade-off between the laminate and the gilding. Weights of paper, corners on or rounded, all similarly run through with gentle calm as Carolyn could see how important it was to me to get this right. Printinc’s motto is “if you can think it, we can ink it” and some of the weird and wonderful jobs they've done brought an astonished smile to my face, perhaps printing a Yorkshire rose on the side of a live sheep without hurting or traumatising the animal the most challenging! Printinc also do “frosted glass” appliques for windows where you don’t want nosy neighbours or passers-by constantly looking in and want to keep the room light. With Christmas coming up it is worth noting that Printinc also produce those big “Photo Booth” frames you see happy guests taking photos behind at parties. I am completely delighted with my business cards and when I need fliers and “DL” brochures for my business I know exactly who to call for reliable, consistently high-quality results, thank you so much Carolyn.

  Really helpful - they did a lovely job on some slightly complicated wedding invitations (a somewhat non-standard shape with folds and perforations) that other companies couldn't do. I would definitely use them again.
