A&E is a joke!!! Waiting for a long time to be seen by a doctor, they call the same person more than 5 times. She came and waited in between more than one hour. People with broken limbs waiting more than 3 hours. What kind of trust if you can't trust at all.

Today I had an appointment in Womens Health with a consultant gynaecologist. As this was my first ever visit to The Princess Alexandra Hospital I wasn’t sure where I was going, without even having to ask a member of off duty staff asked if he could help and directed me to the department. The receptionist was polite and efficient, no sooner had I sat down my name was called by a very nice and cheerful nurse called Violet. The consultant was professional but friendly enough to put me at ease. The 2nd nurse who was also in the room chatted to me during the hysteroscopy procedure, she was lovely and you could see the 3 had a great working relationship. After the procedure the consultant explained his finding and what he was putting into his report, it was very relaxed and I didn’t feel rushed at any point. Its quite a large hospital and another friendly nurse showed me the way to the main entrance. I had been quite worried about my appointment but I can say I had a very positive experience at The Princess Alexandra, from receiving my fast track appointment 2 days ago to paying at the parking machines as I was leaving it was a very slick and seamless experience 😊
