I would definitely not recommend the I-Go Lite as there are far too many negative points against it in my experience. I have used electric wheelchairs for over 10 years and owned 5 different ones including the I-Go Lite. I have never had such a poor performing electric wheelchair. I have owned and still own another Pride electric wheelchair which is far superior to the I-Go Lite in my experience. The controller for the I-Go Lite reacts so poorly to the demands. I have found that the I-Go Lite does not stop instantly as all my other electric wheelchairs do, but rolls on making me feel very unsafe in the wheelchair. I have rolled into people as well as many objects including cash desks in shops and alarmingly, I have also narrowly missed colliding with a small child on more than one occasion - this is because the wheelchair does not stop when I take my hand off the joystick or put it into neutral, but rolls on for a short while and I have no control while this is happening. It is dangerous as an electric wheelchair is a substantial object to collide with. The acceleration of the wheelchair is also really poor, again, creating a dangerous situation when crossing roads or needing to move out of the way of something. All my other electric chairs and previously a mobility scooter have all pulled away quickly and accelerate at a good rate, but the I-Go Lite pulls away very slowly. Again, there have been many situations where I have not felt safe in this chair. The wheelchair is also very uncomfortable offering little support and the stopping/ starting of the wheelchair is very jerky and jolts my body continuously. For somebody who experiences chronic pain as a result of contracting meningitis, this is not good for me as using the I-Go Lite exacerbates my pain greatly. The Wheelchair Company who I purchased the I-Go Lite from allows you to return the chair if you have not used it outdoors. However, none of these problems became apparent until I used it outside. It is frightening when in a busy shopping area because I cannot stop the chair instantly and have often rolled into people. This has never happened to me once in all my other electric chairs in the 10 years of using them. I did report the problems to the Wheelchair company and was asked to take it back to Pride Mobility in Bicester, which I did, for Pride engineers to check it. Pride told me that the wheelchair works within their safety parameters but I maintain that this wheelchair is not safe to use due to the lack of acceleration and the poor response when wanting to stop. I was refused a refund by the Wheelchair Company and have been offered no alternative, so I am left with a wheelchair that I do not feel safe in. The only plus point to this wheelchair is that it is light in weight, which is the reason we bought it. I wanted a light wheelchair for convenience and for travelling with, but I would not recommend this chair for any occasion. Revealingly, another Pride dealer who performed a check on my I-Go Lite, informed me that the light electric wheelchairs, specifically the I-Go Lite, perform really poorly and everything is compromised to get a lightweight wheelchair. This includes the quality of the joystick /controller and the comfort of the chair. The Pride engineer at Pride Headquarters in Bicester also informed me that the controller on the I-Go Lite is a lot cheaper than on other Pride electric wheelchairs. This would explain the very poor responsiveness and performance of this chair. The I-Go Lite is a substantial investment but I would say that it is very expensive for a very basic and poor performing, uncomfortable electric wheelchair.

Now had a Rapid Apex mobility scooter for less than 2 years. What a lemon! The motor brake has failed twice under warranty. Now the battery indicator is playing up (just serviced and new batteries). Unreliable product when the opposite is required for a disabled person. Can no longer trust any Pride product. Used to be good as the old style GoGo was reliable but no longer the case with this newer product. This has always been used in line with the user manual so it is just a very poor product - avoid.

I have read several reviews before writing mine. Many of the critical reviews are not really fair on Pride as the issue is with the seller, not Pride. If people choose to order a mobility scooter online then struggle to put it together that is not the fault of Pride! If you are not competent enough to assemble a scooter then buy it from a reputable dealer that can. Ok, so their are reviews critical of dealers, unfortunately there are (as in any industry) some bad dealers out there so please do your research before buying. I am a Pride Dealer, I look after my customers and always sell them the product that is right for the buyer, not what is most profitable for me. I really do not want people unhappy with their product, mobility aids can be expensive so it is important I sell the right one to the customer. I have found nothing but good support from Pride, Steve my rep is always helpful and never lets me down. There have been issues with parts out of stock, this is a worldwide problem that has been caused mainly by Covid stopping or slowing production of the parts. So please find a good dealer that will help you if you need any aftercare, there are plenty of small independent businesses like mine that do give a good service to customers. You may save money by shopping online but be warned most online sellers have a return to base warranty so if any problems you need to get the product back to the seller, not easy if it is a mobility scooter! I find Pride products are reliable and value for money.

Never again will Pride get my custom. After sales backup with my problems been going on since June. No direct contact as everyting has to go through dealer then through the rep. No spares or parts product updates available. My dealer has done his best with this company but response so far from Pride has been slow.

(Translated by Google) Poor access (cars standing by the road make it difficult to maneuver) and very tight in the company itself (2 ramps, you need to enter backwards from the street), but the crew is very nice and helpful. Instant loading.
