In my past experiences of having dental hygienist treatment I have often found the treatment quite unpleasant but was pleasantly surprised no discomfort but a very good clean

We've been NHS patients since we moved to Colchester 12 years ago. We've always managed to get a rountine appts and emergency ones if required. Lovely team, I'm sorry We've not left a review until today. It hadn't occurred to me until my 18 year old attended his first appt alone and it made me smile thinking about Mr Fox saying we were brother and sister at all the appts.

Called Prettygate after a doctors visit the same day. Got an app that afternoon and a very efficient consultation. Back in there today after a weeks anti-biotics to clear an infection and again for an extraction. 20 minutes i was in there and job was done. Recovery today has been as described by the dentist and things appear to be getting better already. Would of been five star had more info been given on the state of my my teeth at the consultation and any further work needed although a hygienist booking was recommended. Great service for a slightly anxious patient.

Taken off as a patient at this practice with no letter, call or anything. Was told there was an 18 month period between appointments and was told Covid wouldn't have made a difference in my case which is untrue. When I asked if they were accepting NHS patients, in the hopes of being added again, I was told no. Unless you pay for private dentistry. I had been at this dentist since I was a young child so would have appreciated a little more communication.

Been with the dentist for 40+ years and quality of service has been fantastic. Had a slight issue recently with misunderstanding but the practice manager went above and beyond to sort things out for me and my family. Looking forward to many more years service.

I attended my appointments on both occasions with Henna Chaudry. I was very pleased with her approach and the way she dealt with my issues. She was very helpful and made the time to point out further issues. Thank you.

THIS REVIEW IS REGARDING RECEPTION STAFF NOT THE ACTUAL DENTISTS one in particular the larger older women i went today for myself and to book an appointment for my brother in law. so i missed my appointment on the 2nd due to waiting for covid results showing all the symptoms i went back today to rebook my appointment still in pain and still with abscess when i explained about the covid test i went to show my booking email confirmation from the 30th November from my phone she was not interested she did not even look she just blurted i must pay £100 to rebook and its not refundable if i dont turn up. my issue was the way she said it like i had just barged past her is shop . i then tried to book an appointment for my brother in law to this she said ok in her mind like me she thought he would be paying cash started taking the details until i said he was on benefits once again her tone changed then all of a sudden she is not interested cose he is on benefits meaning if he had cash she would have made an appointment . so i said dont worry i will find him another dentist i then explained i still have abscess and am in pain can i get antibiotics she replied no i explained the last time i went dentist they would not touch the tooth until abscess was gone . then she said she can get me to see someone but its going to cost me another £75 i said your having a laugh £75 to get a repeat prescription i said no i dont think so i said dont bother i will take the pain and wait till i see the dentist on the 15th i turned to leave she started shouting at me i said dont worry forget it she shouted dont walk away so i shouted back i said forget it 2 main lesson learnt today 1/ MONEY TALKS 2/ AND ONE receptionist is rude and thinks the practice is hers trust me i know she didnt want me to leave knowing i was not putting that extra £75 in the till probably why she started shouting i have always paid for any visits to dentists and never had a problem getting appointments i feel sorry for any one on benefits clearly money is more important than peoples health
