The administration at the Highgate Hospital is not great and their telephone handling is shocking. However the scans and tests are thorough and would give special praise to a Doctor Rick who is clearly genuine in his desire to help his patients. The feedback is a bit hit an miss. You really have to interpret some of the results yourself. However, if you go back and ask, they will assist. You don't need this if you're young and fully fit. Better for us oldies who have seen too many of our friends and relatives die of diseases that, if recognised earlier, could have been saved.

I concur with some of Mary's observations. I think the issue is that Prescan is basically an administration company which outsources the radiology services and medical consultation, or at least that is how it appeared to me. I found the doctor to lack empathy and be rushed in explaining things; I also found that having been told their doctor would speak to me during the morning's MRI scans it transpired that the doctor was delayed and would not be available, and I had to make a second special request to speak (which to Prescan's credit they did accommodate), although this then delayed me because I had to wait until the doctor had finished seeing other clients even though I had booked for an earlier time. I have had issues opening the MRI images on a disc that they sent to me and so did my own GP. I now have an appointment with an NHS surgeon and would like some specific hard copy images posted, yet Prescan seem intent on debating whether the surgeon will need or find these helpful, rather than just assisting me - I think they just don't listen or know the NHS operates since they are Dutch-based.

Awful experience. Some of the staff unprofessional and gossiped between staff on reception who made a comment about me enjoying my my scan? When I had suffered a little claustrophobia in the scanning room and came back to reception this was the comment i got!!! Didn't see Dr on the day as was part of the package. Dr who had to pin down for results a week later very short tempered. This Dr didn't feedback all the results accurately as postal copy differed. Think twice before parting with your hard earned cash. Especially if have a health concern: if your gp rubbish try private gp to refer on to a Consultant/specific test as this could be a waste of money and no further forward.
