Very expensive and after every little pound they could squeeze out of you. £10 for an early check in, £5 to upgrade to their speedier wifi. Considering they are only charging £10.50 for a breakfast this could have easily been included with the room rate which was in excess of £200. Breakfast buffet was ok for the price. No phones in the rooms to alert reception of the need to clean the rooms. Overall an annoying stay.

I have stayed in a lot of Premier Inns both for business (which is what this stay was) and for pleasure so I know what to expect. The check-in at Paddington Basin was quick and efficient and the room fine. It had a horrible view of the A40 but it's London so what can you do? Where this hotel was a let-down was the restaurant and bar service. I frankly don't have time to go over how mediocre it was but I'll list a couple of examples. There was a menu in my room that said to speak to the team if you want to eat in your room. I wasn't expecting full room service but not only will they not bring food to your room, you cannot order it in advance. All that you can do is order as usual, wait in the restaurant until it's done and take it to your room yourself. Thanks a bunch. However, the menu in the room wasn't what they actually sold. There was a different menu in the actual restaurant so I wasted my time picking the food in advance. When my food turned up, they had forgotten my dessert. After waiting a further ten minutes for them to prepare a cold dessert (just a slice of torte) I got fed up and returned to my room. I had to go back for a third time to collect my dessert. Before wasting my time with the restaurant staff, I wasted time with the bar staff. I ordered a soft drink and a glass of wine. I was told l had to wait for the manager to come because, wait for it, the bar tender didn't know how to open a bottle of wine. I offered to do it for her or to show her how to but no, I had to hang around for more than 5 minutes until the manager turned up and told me that I couldn't have the glass of wine I'd requested because it's not sold by the glass. I had already paid. Altogether, it took four trips just to get a meal and a drink and no-one seemed to care. I've stayed in Premier Inns where nothing was too much trouble (York Place in Edinburgh stands out as being especially good). At Paddington Basin, everything was too much trouble. If I'd been paying myself I would have complained but I had work to do and simply didn't have time. The very mediocre service made the whole experience unpleasant. I shan't be returning in a hurry. Food & drinks: Tolerable food, very poor service.

Good location for visiting London, near train and underground stations. The room was clean and nice, and the bed was very cozy. We did not hear any sound from other rooms, and the windows were thick so we could sleep well without listening any loud noises from the street. The staff was nice and helpful. We did not have breakfast here during our stay because we think it was a bit expensive and should be included, but there are many options around the hotel for grabbing coffee and something to eat.

Not great…mainly, THE WINDOWS DONT OPEN, and even though they offer aircon that meant our room smelt stale and sweaty when we arrived, and kept that smell the whole time. Breakfast was icky. Lots of weird smells going on in this hotel. Only thing good about the room was the shower! Location was great though.

Decent sized rooms and super clean. Being a short walk to Paddington station, and quick tube ride to most spots was handy. One slight complaint is our room faced into the atrium above reception which meant no window so it was a bit stuffy at night. Could also other residents in the rooms each side quite easily which wasn't ideal. Otherwise perfectly fine.
