Location, very handy for most of the places I wanted to go but some of the buildings a bit run down around it, car park and way in to the car park needs some love, make it a bit more welcoming and some signage. Service was outstanding at every point, especially the two younger ladies on check in day (Monday about 1700) they deserve a pat on the back at least. Room, first room (your getting the idea 😀). Was clean and tidy, however, no hot water. Reception was brilliant as above, swapped me to another room. Second room was clean but little things needed doing, hook off bathroom door snapped off and missing, TV remote was snapped and held together with a screw, little things.

Rooms: Pot luck whether you get a canal view or rear entrance view. Room itself was fine. Food & drinks: Restaurant only opens at 6pm for dinner so you may need to book elsewhere if you are going for a concert.

Everything was great until the day we left. We decided to pre book breakfast the day before for the next day since we would be up early for our coach. We get to the restaraunt and they tell us we didn’t pre pay when we did. I pulled up my phone to show them when they charged my card for the pre booking, and they didn't seem to understand why my credit card had the charge in a different currency (I’m from another country so it automatically gets converted). The manager then came out and sorted it all. Apparently whoever processed our payment had booked us for breakfast on the previous day and not the date we needed. This caused a lot of stress for the morning of our coach trip. Tip for people visiting: get breakfast elsewhere. There are some amazing places within walking distance that are similar price to the premier inn breakfast with better food and higher quality ingredients. If you pre book breakfast at the inn, make sure you get your receipt.
